Being green can be quite inconvenient. Saving water means low flow toilets, low flow water fixtures, and less greenery in the yard. These are all good proven methods of practicing water conservation, but sometimes human behavior can get in the way.

I prefer the On-demand operations of the RedyTemp which allows the homeowner to choose the temperature at which the pump stops pumping. The Metlund stops pumping after a 5 degree temperature rise and the Chilipepper stops pumping between a 3 to 12 degree rise. Not exactly "hot" water instantly at the tap unless you live in a climate where the ambient temperature is typically 95 degree's.

The Chilipepper states that you can tell when hot water is ready because the noise coming from the pump stops when it stops. A search on the internet describes the noise from the ChiliPepperApp is a problem since it sounds like a blender crushing ice. Searching the internet for sound proofing chilipepper should bring you to the page I found.
